Is this a decent muffler?

I don't want something real loud and alot of drone......

It's the 14" model - do I need to go with the 18" for the results
I want?

Haaaaaa just joking, excellent muffler, t-409 stainless, minimal sound inside, sweet deep note outside.

I had this same muffler installed last Friday and originally had the same concerns, and after driving my truck for a week I can tell you it was a great choice. My wife even likes it, I turn the radio off to here the exhaust. It sounds great at take off and mellows out, and when you put your foot down its NICE!!

Thats your choice. Since your 2wd, I would say 3.5", 4wd, 4".

Made offer on eBay with Performance Peddlers for the muffler - $75.00.

Hopefully I will get it at that price.

You won't get it for $75.00 but you can go in and put discount code "clubgp" and get it for $76.52. The offer email is standardized with a discount code, but it doesn't drop the price as much as the clubgp code. My recommendation....Do it!

you would have paid less if you called them. I went with the 18" from them as well. I got a 3" to 3.5" tip (12" long) to along with it for $30

yes. larger muffler = less noise. I wanted a nice rumble and zero cabin drone.... I achieved it. I will be honest I almost wish I went 14"..... little louder outside would be nice, but we will see how it sounds after it is broken in
