I'm looking forward to hear this on a 5.4. My guess is that it will be deeper and less crackly due to the X-pipe. Can't wait!

Yogi, do you still have the stock cats on your truck? Reason I'm asking is I also ordered magnapacks (2.5 inch) for my truck and they are backordered from performance peddler. I am also doing the x pipe and true dual and have stock cats. I'm hoping the stock cats would keep the "loudness" under control, but now am starting to second guess myself (and wondering if I should switch my order to an oval muffler). What made you go with this combination? Were you looking for a loud, aggressive tone? Anyone have any experience with this?

Check both of my videos in my sig. One has the OEM cats and the other has the hi-flows. It's still pretty loud with OEM's, but not nearly as loud or as aggressive as with the hi-flows. If you hate drone, look for ovals.

Thanks Punisher, I have seen both your vids. Mine truck is a 5.4 and I'm wondering if the packs will be even louder than yours. Don't know if I will be welcome in the drop off line at my kid's school if I'm putting out some decibals like that! And I do hate drone.

4.6Ls seem to have a stronger bark/pitch to them, so the 5.4L is a hair quieter imo. If you dislike drone, the 14" ovals may be more suited for you. Only noise when accelerating. Barely any while cruising.

Thanks guys. Canceled the packs and am ordering 14 inch ovals. Recommendations on straight through or offset? 4x7 vs. 5x8 vs. 5x11? Sorry to hijack.....

Still have my stock cats and I have to keep em because I'm in Cali. When I heard 4.6s truck I wanted them. Went back and forth between the Magnapacks and bullets for a while and then just ordered the Magnapacks on impulse.

And...
