I hate suggesting Flowmaster products, but they do give a great sound on the old pushrod V8s. Go for the original 40.

3" off the Y pipe to a 3" inlet 40, 2.5" tailpipes if dual tailed.

Yes. They killed it after the Super 44's introduction debute in March '07, brought it back in late 2008 from a public demand, called it the Standard 40 for a couple months, and now re-named back to Original 40 Series.

The crap aluminized original 40s part # begins with 4, 43041 is the 3" in/out single muffler with offset inlet, centered outlet, 43034 is the offset inlet/outlet. There is no center/center in 3".

Stainless steel t-409 grade part # begins with an 8 and contains three extra numbers vs the five in the aluminized, the two 3" stainless originals available are #8043041 for offset inlet, centered outlet, and #8043043 for both ends offset. There also is no center/center available for 3".

I would suggest offset inlet centered outlet for reasoning this is the best fitment for trucks.
