All actual Flowmaster mufflers have a part # etched in the the of the inlet, or outlet wall. Find it, write it, and check it on summit. My guess is its a 50 series if its 18"s long. If not, then you have a high thirst for volume.

Sorry still trying to understand your comments. Are you implying that dumping right under the cab will yield less torque than dumping to the rear of the truck? Are you implying this due to back pressue issues??

^ 2 into 1 at the factory y pipe, then y pipe into your tails in front of the axle. Dumped compared to running tips will have absolutely ZERO effect on power! Don't let anyone tell you other wise.

It's the same concept as running open headers. Velocity is lost and power is lost.

No it's not. Running straight headers is way different than dumping under the cab after all the cats. The amount of back preassure lost opening up after the cats is minimal.

When you use terms like "back pressure" and "opening up", you lose a lot of credibility.

Sorry I'm not using the best technical terms for you. Instead of questioning my credibility why don't you explain your reasoning in more detail so everyone can understand why.

...but if not, i'm over it.

It's like running open headers. The shorter you exhaust is, the more velocity is lost, the more power is lost. These engines aren't designed to run a short exhaust, which is why performance is lost when you dump it right after the Y-pipe. But if you don't believe me then that fine. I guess you're calling the OP a liar, and countless other people that have reported low end torque loss after dumping their exhaust.

Haha, it’s ok calm down bud. No need to get your exhaust panties in an uproar. Everyone's just trying to learn here.
