Smile new exhaust help

well guys its been to many months since iv been on but i finally got on ha
if none of you know my exhaust i have 2 dynatech powercats, an x pipe,
dynomax bullets straight out the back in 2.5.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5FHEn5hIhA

i think ill be postin an update soon cuz its opened up alot i think since i made
the first video but anywho..

im thinking of putting an h pipe with turndowns
i LOVE the sound of my truck but i wanna try this out.
i have no knowledge with turndowns so i was gonna ask a couple questions.

if i get turndowns is there a certain size outlet to get?
to help with sound or anything..i dont plan on putting the turndowns straight
down. i kinda thought of pointing them outward alittle at angle to help throw
the sound outward of the truck instead of straight down.

any thoughts or opinions would be nice!

It will be loud, and may not sound as deep as it does with tips. I will say however, she sounds good like it is! Dual bullets and x pipe sounds better than I thought it would. I would want to see a video of you hammering down on it though.

I think the only thing you would accomplish is that it will be a lot louder inside.

I'd leave the tips on. It sounds cleaner with more depth with tips compared to dumped. Back when I had my old SIDO setup, I dumped it after my old 40, and it was a lot quieter.

Well, all the sound is being directed straight down and the pipes were only 2.5 inches. With tips, they're usually 3 - 4 inches which acts like a megaphone, and the sound is being directed outwards. If you were to dump it right after the muffler, all it will do is make it louder in the cab and quieter outside.

Turn downs will ruin the sound, i would not recommend it. If anything, change the exits to behind each rear tire at a 45. But if you want the loudest sound possible, exit the exhaust in front of the rear tire. Youll be hearing the tone of the bullets the most, but will have the most drone. That would look awesome though. Lightning style! I would definately do an H pipe over the X too. It will be a little louder, and carry more of a choppier idle.

Another vote to not dump it, unless you retain your current tps and have them mounted as your turn downs, just up high so they are not noticed, but your truck looks damn good with the tips, and sounds it too. I hate yellow 04+ trucks but yours looks really good.

Get updated video! Inside, outside steady driving, floored, reved, start up, the works!

You are referring to FX4life's truck, he has 5" SLP dumped tips. Well who cares if you both have dumped tips? Theres many others out there dumped with tips too. Theres many others with my wheel and tire combination but I chose it because it performs right for me and looks appealing to me. Might not be internet popular but in person going down the road it turns a few heads .

And yes, running small tips on a dumped exhaust with echo the sound very well. May drive you crazy in cab though, I know you say you have a drone tolerance but after awhile it does get old.

But I certainly agree on 45'ing it.

Yeah, I really like FX4Life's setup. I came really close to having my exhaust end like his, but at the last mminute I changed my mind. As long as it's done right, it will look great and sound good too.

hah darren i didnt mean what i said as in someone already did it and i dont want to
do it. i was just reffering to him, my bad lol
i contemplated for awhile about getting my exhaust done like his but i personally
think it would be best on a lifted truck. and im gonna lift mine alittle pretty soon
so maybe that set up! you think the tips i have now would be fine though?
if i were to go down this road

and my drone right now is pretty loud i guess you can say.
i personally love it and never get tired of it and havnt thus far!

ill be postin some update footage when i get my damn truck back!!!
