Should I remove the rear cats?

As some of you know, I'm planning on doing true dualed dynomax bullets with an x pipe. My question is, should I remove the rear cats or would it be too loud? I was planning on it, but I don't know how much louder it would be. It is my daily driver, so I'd like to keep it loud, but bearable. (not straight pipe loud)

Thanks
- B

well i got true dualed straight pipes from pre cats. its pretty loud. drone is not bad at all. x pipe will bring it down about 25% or so plus 10% - 15% from the bullets so. it wouldnt to loud just loud enough to hear it inside your house

It will be extremely loud with your front cats because they are half the size of 04 & 05s.

Very cruddly quality camera, but the idle of that truck is quite loud, and if you cant hear it but you can hear the revs that loud, imagine how strong it would be in person.

I'm just going to have it welded up, then remove the cats later if I find that they're making it too quiet.

Thanks

Excellent plan. That way if its not enough it is easily corrected. You should ask your shop if they will do that though.

The 4 cats really hold back the exhaust volume from these trucks. Your new exhaust will sound loud to you at first... However, after a while I'm sure you'll be itching to remove the rear cats! Then you'll know just how quiet your exhaust really was.
