Any drawbacks to straight piping after cats?

Yesterday I was looking under my truck and noticed i could unbolt a pipe after the y pipe... after 5 min of work i had it off and it is not too loud at all. It is a little higher pitch straight piped after the 4 cats rather than going through the magnaflow, but deffinately not too much louder. Has anybody done this, and is there any adverse effects of running it like this?

well i just cut the muffler off my truck right before the muffler and it sounds decent lost some mpgs about 1 (just cause i want to hear it). planning on straight piping it at 2.25 out the back no muffler and delete 2 cats no x-pipe stuff

It will definitely sound better with tips out the back straight piped. Mush deeper sounding.

The only draw back of running it open midpipe like you are now is a modest drop on fuel economy. Nothing major unless you could the tenth mpgs like I do
