If you like the sound of your truck and don't really want to change it, one word... MOVE... Move to some place where the cops are not so harsh...

Oh yeah because with that it will visually have a muffler. They will kneal down to see if theres a muffler so that wont work.

cherry bomb sells an 8 inch glasspack. I had those on one of my old trucks. it was true duals though but it is exactly like runnin a striaght pipe because the inside is a hollow metal tube and its only 8 inches. and it is loud no matter what rpm.

Yeah it'll sound good, especially with the rear cats removed. My friend has true duals with 18" Flowtech glasspacks on his '01 5.4L. No crossover and all 4 stock cats. With the mufflers broken in it sounds real good. It has a nice deep rumble, but isn't too loud.

My truck is A LOT louder than my friends. I have true dual straight pipes with the 2 rear cats removed. No crossover, mandrel bent. My truck sounds just like this one (I forget his username, but he's a member on the forum.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9QSMtF5xeg

The dual glasspacks with the removed rear cats should sound dang good. Going from a single exhaust to true duals will have an effect on the tone and volume as well. It'll have a deeper, more rumbly exhaust note.

Something i have done in the past,....

Where im from Oklahoma......

Apperance is everything, take and find a old cat and and old muffler split them open on the TOP with either a plasma or a torch. Strip out all the baffels or enough to slide it over your pipes. Make sure that you have the you made on the TOP of the muffler and cat. Bead it up around the in and outs with the pipe runnin straight threw it.

Works where i come from.....

The Okie,..
