yes,the 2.5" mufflers will be the pressure reducing zone, once the gases pass through them and re-enter the 2.25" tubing, your vp will go up hence affecting your tp ,the bottom line your tq will go up,use mandrell bent pipe, also ss is preferred -most feel anti corrosion in the salt belt is the main reason for using it, the main reason is the heat holding capability of it -hence increasing exhaust gas scavenging...

I dont know exact numbers, but my truck doesn't like pulling 6,000lbs much anymore. Unloaded and WOT it moves, but regular cruising ( 4th gear, OD ) it takes awhile to gain speed, even tuned.

Sooooooo for maximum torque use 2.25 pipes, 2.5 mufflers and 2.5 X-pipe?

no, keep everything 2.25", but if you already have 2.5" parts you can make them work. Its always best to stay 1 full size on both banks.

That's what I was thinking. Disrupting the flow from small to big several times can't be good for escaping exhaust gases.

what darren said- 2.25" pipes into 2.25" x pipe, expanded to mate into inlet of 2.5" mufflers, have 2.25" tailpipes expanded to fit over 2.5" muffler outlets,i cannot be any simpler than that
