Exhaust Help

Hey guys, I'm new to the site and I recently bought a 2002 F150 supercrew and today pulling in a parking lot the muffler fell off. It was all rusted out and I was planning putting some true duals on soon. So my question is between getting 14" magnaflow mufflers or the 11" muffler. I have listened to many videos on youtube and really like the magnaflows. I'm looking for a good sound outside but I don't want the drone at highway speeds. The rest of the step up so far will be 2.5 pipe and 4x18 tips out the rear. Thanks for your time and help.

The 11" body would work well if your keeping it single. If your going to do an entire new exhaust and want my sound, replicate my exhaust.

Thanks guys. I do have another question. Does my truck have 4 cats or just 2. I found the 2 with the sensors in them so I was just wondering if there are 2 more. Darren do your 11" drone in the cab at cruising speed. I couldn't quite tell on the video. I want loud when I get on the gas but high speeds I don't want a annoying drone in the cab.

id go borla over magnaflow but i love my maggie right now..if u dont want drone keep the tips out the back..the 11s and 14s will be pretty similar in drone but they both sound mean when u get on the gas. and ya i have an 03 with 4 cats and theres 2 sensor in each set of cats..4 sensors total..pain in the ***..i cant even remove mine or put on high flows cuz i live in cali where we do smog every 2 years...bust

As stated you do have 4 cats. My 11" bodies are fine inside, the drone is only when accellerating, and highway cruising is fine. Wouldn't want it any louder inside.

ive been through a lot of exhausts (flowmaster, glasspacks, straights, more flows..) and so far the best one would have to be magnaflow!! i have a 14" tru-x di/do muffler with rear cats delete and i love it! loud when i want it to be and when i want to cruise it has a nice low purr.

How much louder is the di/do vs a standard si/do of similar body size

Usually about the same. Single mufflers tend to be louder than true duals, though under a WOT and red lined rev duals would make a louder bark, but generally the volume is the same.
