Philadelphia area exhaust shops

Anybody in the Philadelphia area know of a place to have my exhaust done besides Midas and Meineke? I stopped in both today to get a quote and was a little shocked by the estimates. To have the new muffler installed and dual pipes out the back one place said $600-$700 and the other said $600. I own the muffler already and I've never had exhaust work done so I don't know if they are fair quotes or if I'm getting ripped off. Any help I appreciate.

Sounds like your getting ripped off. I asked a local exhaust shop a few months ago for sh**s and giggles and they told me 650 for a magnaflow 14" si/do muffler. Both yours and my estimates are really high, although it does depend on the set-up you got quoted for. But if its just a si/do muffler and even if its an all stainless system, rip-off I'd say

Sounds like you might have to get it done outside of Philly if you want a decent price.

I wouldn't pay $450 unless it was true duals, mandrel bent, stainless steel, swapped out the cats, and their own tips.

I paid a local shop $275 for true duals and got custom bent pipes (not mandrel) 2 SISO Flowmaster 40s, 3.5" (maybe 4" i forget) SS tips and everything was welded together, no clamps.

I think the price was supposed to be $375 but I got lucky.

To change the subject a little, PhillyF150PA head over here: https://www.f150online.com/forums/ge...do-philly.html and help a brother out!
