True Duals W/ low end
While stock? Thats actually impressive, was the Chevy 'trying'? GM trucks are a few pounds lighter and are programmed much better than Fords are. Ford tuning contains alot of lags, I have never seen an all stock F150 whoop an all stock GM truck of our generation, or even the previous generatiobn '97 - '03. I dont race my truck but ever since I got my Gryphon my GM buddies are very impressed with the harder pull my truck has now but the fact of the matter is, the truck is still about 5400lbs.
Ah. I dont believe GM ever put the 5.3 in a 2500, but I dont know for sure. Usually it was always the 6.0L because the 2500 was the same as a 1500HD. I used to have an '05 2500HD so i'm pretty knowledged with the GM trucks.
yeah I'll have to agree with Darren, I'm pretty good with the engine sizes, the only 5L range engine i can recall in the more recent 2500's is the 5.7, which was in the 2000's and under. It is now the 6.0 and other than that, the 8.1L V8 which was their higher powered engine.
my bad guys, the truck belongs to a friend of mine and its a 2003 1500hd i think. its a half ton with heavyduty suspention

You will gain low end when supercharged for sure. You will not gain or lose low-end on these engines if you are n/a because the placement of the y-pipe is so far away from the engine scavenging affects are limited.
You will lose torque if you change the headers out and not supercharge.
