Finally Did Gotts Intake Mod!!!!

He just did the 09 to, same thing 8hp just removing the snorkel no tune no drone.The power comes 3000rpm and up

I wouldn't mess with a 3 valves air intake without a tune

the 2 valve motors are fair game though

If thaty is coming from the info Bill posted, it was while running one of his tunes. He tested a CAI, and then tested the stock intke after removing the snorkle and the tests were very similar. But, I think it was running his tune, not stock. I copuld be mistaken and I'm too lazy to look it up.

You could look for posts by ASEmechanic.

just found this topic, What part is the silencer?? I was thinking of doing this and saw that removing the silencer helped it too so i figured while I was at it do it all.

I also found on another forum someone modded a batterybox to work with his KnN Looks good, think it would work best with a scoop hood though... If I had a hood with scoop I would go this route.

I was thinking of doing this mod and I have a 3V? What is a tune? I assume you are tuning something to adjust to the airflow? Sorry, I have some learning to do!
