I was just over on the PHP forums. Bill had made this comment..when some one asked him about stock exhaust.

We've seen some benefit to going with a Cat-Back exhaust and the popular choice has been Magnaflow SIDO setups. This setup will usually benefit a little in low and mid RPMs, not to mention it sounds really nice. For some odd reason, Flowmaster mufflers just don't seem to work well in this configuration and have a real "tinny" sound instead of the nice, deep rumble.

As for duals, the thing we've found with full dual exhaust is that it tends to hurt low RPM performance a bit but makes up for it at higher RPMs, especially with high flow cats. However, unless you're really looking for top end performance, we generally recommend avoiding this setup. We've had more than a few customers say that they've actually gone back to the SIDO setup because they didn't like the way the low RPM power felt.
So hes saying SIDO is ok, but full dual isnt, Full dual being what?

But then you go to this thread
https://www.f150online.com/forums/ex...scares-me.html
and Magnaflow is telling the guy, single is better for torque and horsepower.

Full dual = true dual. And they're correct. True duals isn't worth it unless you want a sweet sound, or have the horsepower to back it up which stock has far from enough.

A full single exhaust will perform better than a dual outlet exhaust will because velocity is un-modified and it can continue to flow.

ok so, basically.
Single exhaust to be safe to keep torque and power.
Dual exhaust for better sound but will lose some torque and power.
Im running 33 aftermarket tires. So that caused some of a loss in get up and go.
Do you know if Magnaflow makes either a single or dual out for a 07 Crewcab, 6.5ft bed.

I like the sounds of the magnaflow but I cant seem to find anything, so its that or the MBRP.
Roush only makes directly out the back or in front of the rear wheels, neither one I want to do.

Yes to the single and dual answers, and no to the crew cab 6'5 bed kit. You would have to go to a shop and have them do your work. You could have a shop bent the Roush tailpipes to go out the sides, but then the 12" tips look tacky, and you shouldn't have to have a cat-back worked on.

MBRP SI/SO would be a good kit, their dual out systems sound stupid. Has this hollow like air jet sound to it..

Well im just having crap luck trying to come up with something.
What would happen if I just buy a magnaflow muffler and have a shop tie it in to the existing stock pipe then put a tip on it?
Concerning the MBRP I did a search and found a few people werent happy with theirs, said it drone to much in the cab.
Do you know what exhaust they put on the F150, Tuscany Package. I remeber hearing that once at a dealership and it didnt sound to bad. But I dont know which kit it was.
