Anyone know who makes Roush mufflers?
hey whuts your exhaust sound like when its idling?.. is it nice and low rumble?. and when you stomp on the gas does it get pretty loud? likeroaring? or does it stay nice and low ?
My exhaust is the closest you can get to the Roush Off-Road imo, and its a pinch louder too.
The Borla XR-1 muffler would be the best bet for the volume of the Off-Road muffler. You are best off buying the kit, or going with the XR-1 which is not a dual outlet muffler.
The Roush Legal system has an 18" muffler and resonated tips.

I have listened to his exhaust. At idle, it's a low rumble, under throttle, I would say it is mid range. Not real loud, but not muted sounding like a Magnaflow. Very throaty sounding, not too different from a Flowmaster 40. Both have a deep throaty sound that can be heard.

I have the ROR kit and I would say it is not really that loud. It has I nice rumble at idle but is no way overpowering. I agree 100% with Bluejay. I am putting in high flow magnaflow cats to get a little more sound actually. TJ05FX4 has the ROR with high flows and it sounds really damn good IMO. https://www.f150online.com/forums/ex...o-finally.html is the link for his thread. He has a couple of youtube clips to show the sound. I think the ROR is pricey but worth the cash if you plan on keeping your truck for a while. As for the "off road" designation, I understand that this exhaust is not legal in areas with noise limitations. Certain cities/ counties have adopted pretty strict noise ordinances and the "legal" does meet these requirements, giving a good sound but you lose the decibels. I picked my kit up from Woodhouse for $540 shipped http://www.woodhousestore.com/servlet/Detail?no=1017 and Mike was great to work with.
