Roush Off Road w/ Hi Flow Cats....VIDEO FINALLY!!!

Just like some of you guys with the Roush Off Road am happy with it overall, but with the stock cats, it just didn't sound quite agressive enough for me. I have had it since about February and while it sounds good and has a great tone to it, there was always something lacking for me in the noise and agression department

Thanks to many suggestions here by Darren and a few others, I bought a pair of Magnaflow Hi Flow Cats Part# 94106, which I'm told were about as close to no cats as you could get, which is exactly what I wanted

My 2005 only had two factory cats so those have been replaced. I was also fortunate enough to find someone able to tune out the rear O2's, so thankfully those didn't have to be relocated. I just unplugged them.

FYI, I do remember Darren mentioning these cats could make the exhaust 30-40% louder. HE WASN'T KIDDING

I am loving the sound and hope more can see and hear what this exhaust really has the potential to sound like. As far as I know I'm one of the first with actual videos of this. I apologize for the sound quality not being the greatest, but my point and shoot camera was all I had and I've had quite a few PM's asking for this, so here ya go

Enjoy!

Good stuff!

Love the ROR!

Try doing a launch vid, or drive by.

Not bad, has a Corvette like sound to it. Can only imagine how it would sound in person. Congrats on being the first to do it and post it.

No suggestions on how to convince her, I just tell mine this is what I am gonna do and tell her how much. It works "most" of the time if its only a couple hundred bucks per mod...if more, well there is some negotiations that go on and we both usually end up getting what we want or need, but then my costs have just increased...

Real men don't need permission to do anything!

Seriously though, I seldom spend money on myself, and I don't scrutinize her spending either. So when I get a new toy for the truck, I get the old roll of the eyes, and the usual "You and your truck" comment and all is good. On the flip side, I look at her and say "Damn! those $150.00 jeans look great on you babe" every once in a while also!

True facts, OEM is too thin for optimal performance, isn't full stainless steel, and restricts flow killing your top end power some, and economy.

Extra facts, its unmanly for a mansd truck to sound as loud as a soccer van, two tips look better than one single rusted pipe, and tell her you would love her forever, or make a bet

She usually doesn't give me any crap about doing the mods to the truck since she is VERY well taken care of by me, so I don't usually get much flack for doing anything. I do however give her a simple explanation on why I need the next mod though

I needed the nav system for work travel, the programmer for economy, the intake and exhaust for economy, the hids for those dark remote areas i frequently travel to, and for the cats, I told her the stock ones were getting clogged

Not completely dishonest, but bending the truth just a bit

That ones not exactly dis-honest neither, I just got 21.328mpg highway on a 480 mile trip I just took, at 70mph 1940 - 1960rpm and 194 degrees, Bill's tune is awesome. Much better than the 18.4 I used to get.

Sounds great, might have to do the Hi Flows on my truck now. I love my ROR, but i've also been saying since I put it on that it's not quite loud enough.

Does my 07 5.4 have 4 factory cats or just 2? What all needs to be done with the O2 sensor to prevent a CEL?
