i was wondering if anyone had these installed on there truck. i am looking to get the exhaust kit and i am wondering how it sounds. if anyone knows anything about these kits can u please tell me about them. also if any are better.

I think theres better sounding exhausts than JBA, but still a decent kit.

They make pretty good exhaust systems & headers. Personally i think Borla, and MagnaFlow makes some of the best cat-back exhaust systems.

 

Don't forget that Ford Racing Performance Parts offers exhaust kits also.

I've got a JBA made K&N system, ya, remember them? SI/SO 3" with 3.5" tip. For someone who's picky on exhausts, this one is nice. It's pretty loud and doesn't sound farty. Headers? you'd get probably a hair better/louder with shorties, but considering the work involved, get long tubes.

 

I thought Magnaflow mufflers were used on JBA catback systems?...

 

I thought they were aluminized mufflers made by themselves.

 

I have the JBA 3" SI/SO and it sounds fantastic to me but I don't like uber loud exhaust. I definitely lost a little low end torque but she breaths awesome on the road. The muffler and tip are stainless steel BTW and look fantastic.
I think I would like to go back to a 2.5" system with long tubes though. I hve had gears sitting in the garage for months and no time to take the truck in as I have been on the road for months now!

 

Believe it or not, it's nice & smooth. Since it is a nice straight pipe, the exhaust flows practically unobstructed. And since the glass packs are way in the back, under the bumper of my 8' bed, I don't get that "cab drone" that I had with my Flowmaster.

i just got a jba exhaust and it doesnt fit. the intermediate pipe (the one that comes off the factory y pipe) doesnt line up with the stock exhaust hanger.

btw, its all stainless steel and has a big *** k&n muffler
