Broken oil dipstick

Take a few bread ties and wrap them very tightly around a small piece of rag and stuff it down the dipstick tube hole. This will keep debris out of the oilpan, and you can pull it out with the bread tie after you get finished with it. Take a small chisel and a hammer and cut a gap in the remaining piece of the dipstick tube and take a small screwdriver and pry it out. Now you have the broken piece out. Just pull the rag out when you get done with the bread tie that's wrapped around it. Job done!
