I had a problem like this on my old truck but i can think of is the heat sheild on the passenger side of the truck might be loose. It is right near the enigine bay but it bolts directly to the floor board. I think there is one on the drivers side too. Sorry i cant help more. Its hard to diagnose these noises without hearing it. I have a squeak i cant find too. Can you at least tell us what side of the truck the noise is coming from? Does it do it all the tiem? or just in park? or under acceleration? ect.

there should be a heat shield right under the drivers seat. other than that I would have to hear it to help you out. All i can say is crawl under there and see if its loose. Also could be coming from your cats.

i know what it is, i just got my f150 fixed today at the muffler, i had the exact issure, it rattles like when going from reverse and forward and in parking lots and on turns. i looked under at the shop and the passenger side pipe inbetween the cat and the muffler is welded together and was like loose, (its near a clamp). move it and you'll see what i mean, im sure its the same issue. its not a big deal. ford f150 xlt, 2000.

email me and tell me if it was the problem

My flowmaster, etc.. did that, I went through 3 mufflers all different brands and they kept breaking welds INSIDE the mufflers. I don't have the truck anymore and it was never resolved, it was on a 2002 F150 4.2L Standard Tranny. Just for info if it helps.

If I had to guess, I would say it's the cat. cover. My truck did that for a while. But I guess that's on the other side...

My truck does the exact same thing. I have talked to others about it and belive it is a heat shield that is loose on one of that cats...
