decent low end. If u want my advice...but the Edelbrock RPM cat back $265 Its a dual out in the factory location .. its the best exhaust I have put on thus far on a vehicle. There are "bolt together" joints at each conection with gaskets, it makes for a very solid install. I was impressed. Check out Jegs.com part number 350-5680 (They dont list it for the 4.9 but trust me it goes right on.)

What about headers?

so i have a 94 ford F-150 4x4 manual tranny with a 4.9L as well..and i was curious where can i find some headers for it..or if there even is headers for it...the cat back system sounds great..im thinking of doing that as well..but it woud be nice to get as much out of my torque monster as i can..and if headers are an option...then ill go for it....

Ok guys, I've had a TON of trouble with my '93 f-150 xlt's exhaust. I tried a lot of things to try to make it loud. I even made the mistake of cutting off all of my exhaust after the first cat........big mistake. The cab is very very very very very loud, but it does sound good . Right now i'm saving up for some headers for it. www.cliffordperformance.com is where i found them. You'll have to navigate to the parts list but they are there under ford 300. My plan is to put on the headers and run pipes to both sides with 40 series flowmasters that exit at an angle right in front of the rear wheels. I thought it would look sweet and be unique with si/do mufflers

I put a SI/SO Flowmaster w/ turn down on my old 85 F150. Cost under $100.

I have a 4.9 and i was thinking about possibly doing a single in duel out magniflow with lightning like exhaust infront on the back tire. Has anyone run duels on it since it has two manifolds?

I have a '90 with a 300. The only thing after the resonator and the cat is just pipe, and it comes out between the start of the box and before the rear wheel. It'd be nice to put on dual exhaust and "forget" to use any cats, but I don't think it'd run.
