I have an analog odometer in my 98 F150, but my other vehicle is a 1996 Chevy Impalla SS. The 94-96 Impalla has a digital odometer that has a problem that is common as an F150 with a door crack or interior lights that won't go out. In their gauge cluster there are 3 100 OHM resistors (pink) that have the worst solder job on them I have ever seen. Pull the cluster and look at all the resistors carefully. Even though this is not a Ford product the engineering is probably the same.

BTW:Stock answer from GM dealer, "Replace cluster $350-$500. Followed step-by posted on NAISSO site (National Association of Impalla SS Owners) $8. Had to buy a soldering iron, couldn't find mine.

Just my .02; I've never tried to put in a link but here goes
