both fobs same, new battery

anyone have a clue, programming manual or a wiring diagram?

Saw this on a forum a while back, you might try it:

If this happens to anyone else, here is the solution. It took 2 trips to the dealer, they had to get there installer to meet me there. (Even though this was a factory installed remote starter.) It is a 30 second fix. Turn key to ON position. There is a button under the dash by the pedals, you have to push in and hold the button while depressing the brake. It will beep 3 times and it should be reset, start the car and then turn it off and you are ready to go after that.

Thanks for the try, unfortunately did not work for me.I had my friend scan the fault codes in the truck and there were 3 b1352,b1600 p1000.(no check engine light). they might be a clue. Also the start worked once, so I don't think it programming. I am goingg to try at the electrical section.

thanks

Code B1552/B1600/P1000

Hello all, thanks for reading
I have 2008 f150 stx x-cab, 4.6l

Remote start (Dealer installed) stopped working. if I press the remote start button, it flashes red, the horn beeps, the truck doors lock, the dash lights come on, but the starter never engages. no error beep, and the running lights come on as normal.
I tried some things (https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...t-working.html) and found it to be intermittent, but nothing quick and easy fixed it.

A friend advised me to pull codes and 3 ( b1352,b1600 p1000) were stored.

Any idea on what to do at this point, I do not have a wiring diagram or any type of book.

some things to consider- I initially thought my granddaughter pressed the program button on the remote start, but eliminated that as I found the remote start is intermittent. it worked once in the past 20+ tries. I replaced the battery in the spring (but did not use the remote start since then) & I had light bar installed over the summer with myself and a friend. Fobs have new batteries.
Any help is appreciated.

The P1000 code suggests that either the battery was recently disconnected or that someone playing with a scan tool reset the PCM's emission status/codes.

The B1600 code indicates that the PATS system did not receive a valid code during a starting attempt. Most likely, the PATS bypass feature of your remote start is no longer working which is why it won't remote start anymore. Is your THEFT light fast-flashing when you have a remote start failure?

The B1352 could be to a faulty/disabled key-in-ignition switch or it might be related to the remote starter fault.

yes, i did notice that the red light is flashing fast.

I did change the battery in March or May (it went dead).
Maybe I should wipe the stored codes?

Any advice?

Might as well, they aren't telling you anything you didn't already know.

I'd first call your dealer and ask them if they use a particular local shop for their remote start and alarm service. Many dealers don't have their own staff screw with this stuff and they simply sub it out to a local specialist.

Otherwise, look for a local shop who specializes in these systems and ask questions. Call around as needed. You'd like to find the guys who do this work for local dealers, if possible.
