fog lights without headlights problems
im trying to make my fog light work without the headights I found a thread from a long time ago that had a link to the lightning forum and I followed the instructions had no problem modifying the switch and connecting the #2 wire to the #12 wire but the results I get are that the headlights come on when I turn on the marker lights and I still have to turn switch to headlights on and then pull to get fogs
I tried different combinations of hooking wires together and couldn't get the fogs to come on with the parking lights on the thread had many people who had successfully done this mod can you help?
by the way this is a 2001 f150 it doesn't have auto headlight option any help is apreciated

thanks a lot I didn't know about pulling the #27 fuse I did it a little differently I modified the switch to pull out in the off and park positions so I could turn them on whenever I want I had to connect a wire between the #2 black and white wire and the #8 blue and orange wire instead of the #12 brown marker light wire
I didn't realize till after that I also get fogs with high beams sweet!!
the reason for doing this mod is that I added a 32inch light bar and hooked it to the fog light wires I didn't want to add any wiring or switches to my dash this allowed for a very clean install thanks again
