to turn o the fog lamps, you would need to continue the ramp modification so the switch could pull out in the off position . Don't know if the switch would put up to this much removal of material.

Not too sure what automatic fog lamps means, can you describe the function ?

I imagine he means leaving the **** pulled out, and the fogs come on with the key.

You might want to see if you can cut that much material out of the switch, I do not think it would take having the ramp cut all the way around.

What you are talking about could be done with an additional switch, which for the sake of maybe saving a 70.00 headlamp switch, you might want to consider it.

Considering this is not OEM function, it won't be.

This would be a 2nd switch you would have to operate, if you want the fog lamps off, you would need to turn both switches off.

The clean looking part is up to the installer, has nothing to do with the wiring diagram.

This is what you should have right now after the fog lamp mod

This is what I came up with, as not to try to make the switch feel too loose by cutting the ramp all the way around.

the SPDT switch can have a center off if you want. The switch in one direction will power the fog lamp relay when the key is in the run position, the other position it works like the ramp modification does.

If you look at the diagram, the fog lamps could be on any time the hot in run position fuse is hot ( eg, radio ) or flip the switch and they work the same as the post ramp modification.
