Speed Sensor Switch

Can anyone tell me where my speed sensor switch is located on my 2004 F-150?

For the cruise control, I ordered a new one and it says it's connected to the master cylinder but I don't see where.

Ok, the cruise control switch screws into the end of the master cylinder and has a wiring harness attached.

I don't think that is a speed sensor at all though, I think it is an override switch to turn cruise off if it is activated by pressure when applying brakes.

Yes that's what it is but the packaging says speed sensor switch repair kit. It's a Motorcraft SW-6350

Here is a diagram of where the switch goes. It is part #1

I don't see anything that even remotely looks like it on the Master Cylinder

Are you talking about on your truck or in the diagram? In the diagram, it is part #1. Screws into the end of the MC.

That silver part in the pic, the lower item, you remove the orange thread protector and that screws into the enf of the MC. The harness is a replacement for the wiring harness.

Some are that design, but I think some come straight out the end, but same thing.

Which version of the F150 do you have? Is it the Heritage 97-04 or is it the newer body style 04-11? Please fill out your signature so we know what vehicle we are trying to fix and are not sending you on a wild goose chase because we are looking at the wrong diagram for the F150 because there are several changes for different model years.
