Pressing the blue button only is the function for the quick stop, where if the engine is running, and you want to keep it running without the keys in, you press the blue button. The horn honks once ( and the parking lamps will turn back on ), and you can turn the key to the off position and remove the key, but the engine will continue to run.
- Basically it puts everything back to the remote start function, but does not engage the starter as the engine should already be running.

Lock then blue button is the remote start sequence on a Ford remote start.
This should

Which remote start is it ( Bronze, Silver or Gold ) ?

Not too sure what that key sequence is to be doing.
Key cycles are generally used for erasing all then add in factory remote lock RKE fobs, but this is 8 cycles in 10 seconds and off to run.
To do anything with the remote start, you need to enter programming mode with the function button on the remote start unit.
Depending on the installer this might be hidden behind the dash or kick panel with the status LED.
I'm not sure which unit I have in mine It's a one button control, but, my problem was the broken wire in the little antenna around the switch. It had to be programmed like a spare key as explained in the thread, my unit has no status led's anywhere on the unit nor anything in the manual about putting it into learning mode. This 'broken wire' is a known problem in some early units Ford used.

Tried the key position II-III method and it did not work for me. Then actually retried all methods mentioned so far other than checking the wire. No luck. Seems like it should just be a reset, but none of these seem to reset it. It stopped working after the truck's battery was disconnected and changed.

Time to take the trim off around the key and check the circular 'antenna' wire ....simple process, just remove the one screw from the lower cover and the switch antenna will be visible. The replacement unit (antenna) part # 8L3Z-19G365-BA, around $30.00 I think.

2006 Remote start not working

I have also had same problem with my 2006 would not start, for a year now, same symptoms as rest. Push button truck runs through motions but does not start, tries 3 times then quits, if put key in ignition during process (do not have to turn on) truck will start.
Found out last week that if I slowly slide into park just until it locks in remote start will work every time. If I push it into park with regular pressure it will not start. Assuming there is a position switch in there somewhere but do not know where.
So guess found solution for my truck but now trying to figure out where sensor is and can I adjust it?
Hope this helps someone or maybe someone has answer.

2008 Expedition 5 beeps

I have a 2008 expedition with a factory installed remote starter. One little keyfob with one button. My truck was running the other day and I depressed remote fob until it beeped 1 time and kept the truck running so I could pull the keys and lock the truck. 1 few minutes passed and the truck shut istself down. I re-depressed the fob to restart the vehicle and the truck beeped at me 5 times and hasn't worked and beeps 5 times I press fob ever since.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
