Suddenly my truck is locking itself ???

I have no idea why, but for a couple of weeks now, I'm coming out to find my doors locked. I don't lock them.....but in the morning they'll be locked.
Same during the day, (I park at a guarded sight) I head in without locking the doors, and when I leave the doors are locked.
It's not that big a deal, (it would suck if it was un-locking itself!),but it is a little strange.

My truck does have a Viper remote starter, (good one, 1000' range).
This has never given me any problems.
I have new batteries in the remote, and I make sure I don't accidentally hit the "lock" button when I walk away from it.

Any guesses.....
Thanks

mine is doing the same thing, no aftermarkets.

i have, however, come to the conclusion that my driver power lock will not lock, but it will unlock. i have checked the switch and all contacts are functioning as should. my next step is to trace all wiring, but its to cold and wet. i suspect wire is broken between door and cab.

for my own curiosity, does your driver door power lock still lock?

There is another thought. a car that parks in the same lot has a very close or the same frequency to its keyless entry as your factory or your viper alarm.

Its very very rare but it can happen. I had it happen to my truck a while back. At my buddies body shop we locked a car up and my truck locked up as well. I distinctively heard the truck honk and even checked my pockets for accidental button press. I didnt even have my keys on me. The car was a toyota or an avenger, i cant remember.

The key or the RKE fob ?

If it is the factory RKE fob, someone programmed them both to the same RKE fob sets.

There are about 1 billion codes for the factory RKE fobs. Viper I cannot say how many they have.

Thanks for the replies.
It was doing this at work as well as at home.
Now it has stopped, maybe it had something to do with the cold temps?, who knows...
My truck has a weird way of fixing itself...
My rackety-noise wipers went away.
The stiff steering cleared up.
And it stopped locking itself.
....If I could only get it to push out its' dings!
