Anyone have any clue how much a new keypad would cost? A couple buttons stopped working and it is annoying me. Would that fix my problem, or do I have to replace the computer also?

Are you using the original code or one you assigned to it? Perhaps your code got lost. Try using the original. Just my 2 cents, Dennis

Does your remote work? If so, then it is the keypad that needs to be replaced..

Yeah the remotes work fine... just a couple of the buttons don't work. Just wanted to make sure that a new keypad would be compatable with the existing computer. Is anyone else having this problem?

the kepad is just a plug an go...you can replace it at will, should take about 30 minutes start to finish. Replacing it will have no effect on your PATS computer.

A couple of things:

First, your truck is a 2000, your keypad should be covered under warrenty.

Second, I just did the keypad install, and I was wondering where the others that have done it routed the wiring harness. I ran it between the window channels and the inner panel of the door. Does anyone see any problems with it being there. When I was putting it in, that is where it looked like it would be least intrusive. Just wondering what others did.

I ran mine between the inner door and the trim panel. I didn't feel like putting it inside the door. As long as you have secured it to keep it away from the moving parts you should be alright. I pulled the plastic clips off the harness and relocated them with electrical tape to pick up the existing holes instead of drilling new holes.

Mine did the same thing, dealer replaced just the keypad and has worked flawless since.

Even with over 36K, I would think a good dealer would at least entertain the idea of replacing it under warranty. At about a year old with that kind of mileage, the only way to wear out the keypad is to have someone riding on the step locking and unlocking the door as you drive
