PCM relay clicking

On a 2002 F150 with 4.6 engine and automatic transmission, what would make the truck not even turn over and the PCM relay start clicking alot ? It was running fine. We shut it off and 10 minutes later, my wife went to start it up. She called me as I was on my way in to work, so I turned around. I disconnected the battery and pulled out the PCM relay. I could feel it was warm, but not hot. I had to go to work, so now I am home and looking on the net. Its almost 5am, so I can not do anything yet anyways.

Thanks, David

Smile Dead

After cleaning the terminals good and still nothing. I noticed there were no lights on inside the cab. I got out the jumper cables and danged if it didnt start right up. I took the battery out and down to the shop I got it from. They checked it and it was dead as a door ****. I have never had a battery just go dead. It was exactly one year old.

Thanks for the help.

And by the way, we did have the cruise control thing redone. It did quit working after the warrenty was over and never have had it looked at. Why did you ask about that?
