You guys will never believe this. Lincoln dealer is sending tech that installed the system to my moms house to fix it.

We will see what happens.

Talk about service.

I knew you got a better warranty with a Lincoln, but that is a bit carried away.

Hope it works

Why is that carried away, I think its awesome!

Guy is here now. Says the problem is the factory alarm is armed when is tries to start it will freak out. Going to change something to make it always unlock vehicle first.

That is not right... Should start the truck with the doors locked.

If he does this, the "stop and pause" function would not work. ( might not be the correct name for it, it should be in the manual )

This is when the vehicle is running, you want to leave it running to go into a place, you press the key button, horn honks, and you can turn the key the off position, and pull the key out, get out and lock the doors with the remote.

Like sscully says....
My Ford gold locks the doors when started.

Hey sscully where did you get the quoted documentation?
I got nothing with my installed system, I wouldn't mind reading up on its features that, I'm sure, aren't connected.

ya mine locks the door when it starts it too.

apparently this vehicle had some history. it has a ford alarm and remote start installed as seperate modules. the tech said the remote start was conflicting with aftermarket alarm. wired something and now it doesnt do it anymore.

who knows

Hey wreedKR. I sent you a last email but it looks like it was still in my drafts folder and didn't go out. I was asking you in the email if there was a alarm added to the system. Looks like your tech found that out...lol It was the only thing that made sense with what you were telling me.
