LED interior lights "glowing"

i switched my interior lights to led's and now the "glow" like burn realy dim when im driving and after i cut the truck off

does anyone else's do this or does anyone know what my problem is?

i figured mabey there was still a small amount of current going throught them and since LED's draw such a small amount of amps that its enought to make them glow alittle but not the fillament bulbs that were in it

Then there must be something wrong with your truck

Seriously though, I have the Putco Premium and they have a faint glow when the truck is off. As a matter of fact so do the cargo lights, they are also Putco. IDK

I have the same ones from V-LEDs I love them i dont find mine "glow" when my truck is off but who knows maybe i am blind... if you like the look of the interior leds then i would suggest getting the led front blinker lights i think that is what i am going to get next

Yea they'll glow. It doesnt take much to run LED's. Static electricity will even run them if their already grounded. And as long as electricity is present either in direct wires or waves, they'll show some affect. Watch them when theres a storm outside. You can see them faintly flicker. I found that to be pretty cool. Same with house bulbs. I got a few of those around the house, and you can shut them off, and pull them out of the socket and they'll still glow for a while. Faintly, but they will. Not as long as they would if you left them in the socket, but all the same. Goes to show how LED's could be a revolution to energy savings.

do you have any load equalizers installed? it is basically a device to create a short inbetween the hot wire and ground wire at the lamp sockets.... they correct the problems caused by switching to LED's.

as for the OP, my Putco LED's do not glow unless they are turned on. i havent heard of this phenomenon until now.

i haven't tried load equalizers yet because the LED flasher relay is suppose to fix the problem. i know it wont fix my cruise control, ive gotta put a load equalizer in my 3rd brake light for that. my truck behaves the EXACT same way with no relay as it does with the led relay. thats why i think its bad.

Mine don't glow either. I've got LEDs in the dome, map lights, and outside mirror puddle lamps.

I remember the problems you're having, eastcoast. As I recall, it took a bit of careful placement to get the dome cover back on. As for the map lights, you just have to get them started, at a corner I think? And then pull like hell. I remember thinking I was going to break something, but I didn't.
