New Gauge install

So I installed this new gauge cover (overlay) today and it lights up through its own lights seperate from the bulbs in the trucks cluster that it lies on. It came with a super cheesy on/off switch that i know i will forget to turn off after a nights drive or even on when i'm not totally focused.

my question is, can i wire up the overlay to the same lead power wire that lights up the instrument panel bulbs, so that way it can come on and off when i adjust the dial that turned it on and off when it had the stock overlay? the overlay is currently wired up to my offroad lights lead wire that comes threw the fire wall by the pedals so i have to use the cheesy on/off switch they supplied.

its kinda hard to explain, but all in all i want the lights to come on, off, and dime like they used to without having to use a separate switch

here is the cheesy switch that i want to remove all together so i can use the dial that is above it.

here it is switched on with the cheesy switch.

here it is switched off.

Indiglo

yah man you can just tap the wire to your fuse box, to be exact the one for your park light.... so everytime you turn on your lights the indiglo gauges will turn on too, that's what me and my buddy did to our old rice rocket(Honda Accord)...

ok i figured out which fuse it was and tapped it in and the lights still only worked if i used the chessy switch it came with, i tried bypassing the switch by just splicing in and out wires of the switch together and that didnt work either. any help?

thanks.

can you take a picture of the wiring??? If not just cut the wiring leading to the switch, then just tap the wires to your fuse.

The top wire black wire with the connector on the end connects to the acutal guage itself.

the red wire is the lead power wire.

the single black wire is the ground.

and the other black wire with two ends is the wire that ran to the switch.
