Tail lights and instrument panel dont work

Hey my tail lights and my instrument panel doesn't work on my 05 f150 xl. I took out my aftermarket radio and put back in my stock one and thats when it quit working. I thought it could be a fuse but i can't find which one. Can anybody please help me with this problem?

Same problem doing the same thing...

Hi,

I just made the same change: I removed the factory radio and put a Sony back in place. I noticed afterward that there was no more light in the cluster panel as well as for the tail lights and fog lights. Also, the chime that sounds when you forget the headlights no longer works... I checked the F6 fuse and it was burnt. Changed it for a new one and blew again. Any advice on that issue ???

Thanx,

Martin

Unplug the Sony and fix the wiring error.

the illumination lead, i think its the orange one, is the one that lights up the radio if you turn on the instrument panel. i would start there.

Hi again,

I just remove the Sony radio, put the stock AM/FM CD player radio back in place, put a new 15A fuse and everything came back to normal. I bought that Sony to add a Aux connector. Is there a way to put an Aux connector to the stock single-CD player radio ?

Any advice ?

Regards,

Martin

I just mean taht there is an unused Aux button on the radio and I wander if I can connect an audio jack somewhere to activate it. Just want to be able to connect my MP3 player !

Thanx,

Martin

Something like that is what you are after. I've used one.. They are OK. It does the job. I think you ought to fix the problem with the sony though. It doesn't seam that difficult. Like a previous post said check the illumination wire.
