Someone stole my horn... seriously

That's right, someone stole my horn out of the truck. The worse part, they cut the wiring leading up to the horn. So, I bought a new horn and tried to wire it back to work and I can't get it to stay connected. I've tried everything and nothing will work. The new wiring assembly is roughly $1000 from Ford, so I don't want to go that route. Does anyone have any advice on how to get this horn working? Also, if I purchase an air horn assembly, can I get it wired up without having to use to original horn wiring? I need some help desperately, not having a horn is killing me when idiots swerve in front of me on the interstate.

BTW, the horn was stolen from the 02 Screw

How did you reconnect it? Just twisting the wires and tapping them up will work, or some crimp connectors if you what to do it cleanly. Did the horn work at all after replacing it? Blown fuse?

Go to a bone yard, and do the same thing, cut off the end and solder / heat shrink it to the harness on your truck ?

You can have the harness off my truck for 500.00 and I'll even pay shipping.

the things people will steal, some one ripped off my spare tire. i can't believe someone would steal a horn, i didn't think that they were worth enough for anyone to bother.

anyway it isn't that complicated of a circut, and if it was cut right by the horn connection crimp up some new connectors and throw the new horn in. i can't believe ford wants a 1000 for some wires, they are outta their f*$%ing mind

When we used to live in Mass, my parents never used their horn, just keep and eye out for their middle finger!
