How to turn off "Tire Pressure Monitor"
How to turn off "Tire Pressure Monitor"
I put on some after market wheels and tires, and I decided against putting in the tire pressure monitor relay into my new wheels....
So now whenever I drive, I get the "TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR ERROR" popping up on my info display, as well as the little light on the dash.
Is there any way I can turn it off? Its getting annoying :P

I did the same thing for mine and no issues at 3,000 miles.
PVC Idea
I drive a state '07 expedition, and when DOT put on the winter tires, they opted not go to with the sensors, so now every time I start the truck, I have to push the stem on the instrument panel to get the warning to go away, which is a total pain in the a$$ (already put black tape over the warning light). Sacul, tell me more about the PVC thing. Do I only need one sensor to make to make it work? I might buy one out of my own pocket just to make the warning go away. The sensor just has to be in a container and think it has enough air pressure around it to send out a signal that all is OK? I assume they must run on batteries of some type, what if the batteries go out?
Make sure that when you get the new bands and sensors for your rims, have the tire shop ensure that everything is calibrated and ready to go. I had one of the senior installers at the shop make sure it was done correctly for me when I had bought my 951's and Toyo MT's.
