I've always used Die Hard. They never let me down. Thinking about switching to an Optima though.

Had excellent luck with Interstate. My local dealer stopped putting Ford batteries in and switched to Interstate.

The same company makes Motorcraft, Sears DieHard, & Interstate - Johnson Controls. They're actually the same battery, and they're all the best. Don't buy the crappy ones from the zone, or WM. Any dealership or Sears should sell you a good one for $80+tax.

IMO, Optimas (also made by Johnson) aren't worth the money, but that's a WHOOOOOOLE other topic, and you can find it by searching.

I suggest you not use a Walmart Everlast.
They are also made by Johnson Controls. Most likely at a lesser quality.
Everyone I ever had across all the vehichles I have , have been lost to bad cells.
Go with the MC 750 large capacity and you won't be dissapointed.

Just got a Duralast gold 850 CCA and 1000 CA for about the same money. Warrany was something like free replacement for 38mo and pro-rated for 60 or something like that. And it fits in the factory Battery mounting tray and battery cover. Seems like a pretty good buy to me.--DIY

I agree about the Wal-Mart batteries. I have had several and none of mine lasted much longer than a year. I have had great luck with the Interstate batteries.

Optima's own published testing shows that they respond WORSE to deep-cycling & long periods of inactivity than "normal" batteries.

I put in a Walmart Everlast when my original one took a crap. I put one in my old Explorer too and didnt have any problems with it. My Walmart battery was bigger than the original one so I couldnt use the stock cover. Plus its 850 CCA and 1000 CA with 3 year replacement.

I call BS.

Until you prove it..and I would love to see a company that says it's product is inferior to the competition...that would set new standards in marketing! If you can explain the logic of your statement, without even trying to prove it, I'd appreciate it.

This site used to show a LOT more data than it does now, and that's where I saw it. Don't believe me? Fine. Believe the people who say "Optima is the BEST!!! " without any supporting data. It's your truck & your money. Spend it on whatever you like.
