Where the heck does this ground connect to?

Everyone. I was checking my schrader valve and discovered a ground wire on the cowl that was disconnected. I have looked all over the engine and around and below and cannot find where it was connected. It looks like it was cut so here a pic. Anyone know where it should be connecting to on the engine? I have circled it in red.

Thanks

MP

based on the info i can see, its hard to search by the pic since i dont know what component it goes to, but im gonna guess its a ground for the heater blower motor. or the HVAC system ground in general...

I think it mounts to the engine at the intake manifold near where the vac lines coming out of the throttle body elbow.

took a look at my 02screw and a similar lead mounts up right where you have it in the picture, as for what it does...consult your local palm reader...

Considering he has a picture of that end I think he is asking where the other end of it is at ???

on my 2000 that ground wire runs directly to the battery, there are 2 wires out from the positive terminal and 2 wires into the negative (a larger ground wire from below and the smaller one being the one that goes to the area you are talking about). Maybe it was changed or replaced and whoever did it forgot to remove that wire? It doesn't seem like the truck would be to happy missing a ground...

It is an engine ground. I believe it is bolted to the studs that hold the water heater tube to the passenger side cylinder head.
