Installing Codealarm CA-130

#2
All done (almost)
everything is installed and is working fine exept one thing.
When the car is locked and the alarm activated, it takes about 30 minutes (have not timed it) and then the alarm suddenly thinks someone is breaking in.
When i reset it, it indicates that the door ajar sensor has been triggered (same sensor every time)
Have i missed something or is my alarm defective?

From the Ford PowerCode Troubleshooting guide :
Have you checked the connection to the door ajar ( forget which is used for this ), to see if it is connected correctly ?
This is the URL, if you don't have it already for the info about, and some other docuements :

If you want to drop KCAutosound ( Travis ) an email, he is very helpful, as he does these all day long for Ford.
You can get to him directly at : http://www.kcautosound.com/
The other thing you can read through the 204 threads that come up with Ford Gold Remote Start and see if any of this offer anything. I did find someone made a reference to needing Diodes for the door triggers ( WTF ? )

I have no idea what that is about, before you go doing any thing like this I would email / call Travis first.
Q – Alarm goes off for no reason?
- Check the Attempted Theft Alert in the owner’s manual. Once you know what zone triggered the system then you will know what wire or sensor to check.

is that 10/B called a pull-up wire? I was trying to find a CA-130 manual but it's somewhere in the pile of stuff since I moved my office to make way for the baby's room.
For some of you that don't know....
Some vehicles have a battery saver mode that will pulse your door trigger/dome light wire thus falsing the system. The way around this is to connect a 10K resistor to your door trigger wire. Basically connect one side of the resistor to 12 volts and the other side to your dome light circuit.
The code systems at least the CA-630 and CA-530 have a 10K pullup wire that you have to just connect to 12 volts and it will do this for you.
