English lighting system

I have an 04 Lariat, which has American rear lenses. The indicators are red rather than amber. I have had to move those down to the reversing light lenses with amber bulbs to comply with English law. My reversing lights are now bolted to the bottom of the rear bumber along with a fog light (another regulation)

I wondered if anyone knew of replacement lenses that change the top red lens into amber, or alternatively, is there anyway I can rewire the reversing lights to the rear bed lights on the roof?

Fred,
I think you are stuffed mate. You cannot even get amber lenses for the 97-03 model like mine.
I will be back over in the USA next week again and will have a look for you if you like. If I find anything, I will take some pics for you.
You could rewire the reversing lights into the bed lights but I don't think they will be very effective. Try reversing with the door open (bed lights on) to see how good they are.

If I reverse with the door open, I'll take the gate post out, even if I can see it LOL.

Cheers mate, let me know if you find anything.

I'm trying over in New Zealand, because, I understand that they convert 04 Lariats into RHD versions. Kits are available for £3500. Wonder if it includes the rear lenses?

There's a company up in Hyde (nr manchester?) that does RHD conversions with the imported Aussie kit.
You could try contacting them.

I think you may have noticed this already, but you're going to need more than just lenses. You're going to get into needing some re-wiring and changing of bulbs too. This one is not as simple as it sounds. There are converters (black boxes) you can buy over here to convert from the logic & wiring with amber turn signals on the tow vehicle to just plain red lenses on a trailer. I've never seen a converter that works the other way though. Good luck!

Ford makes rear taillights for the Aussie market that I believe are just what you're looking for.

I would think that a local Ford dealer should be able to provide you with whatever you need to be legal over there.....

I find it strange that they still have the red rear turn signals here in the US. Would be great if I could alter mine too.

The super duty trucks that goto NZ are made in the US, BUT they are all left hand drive still, they do not convert them to RHD. It says this on ford.co.nz

The F-Series models for New Zealand aren’t left-hand-drive conversions. They’re genuine production-line right-hand-drives fresh from the Ford F-Series plant. So they’re backed by Ford New Zealand and carry a full Ford new vehicle warranty.

Unless the Courier truck is the f-150?

Gijoecam - The local Ford dealers here have never seen an F150 before, or did you mean a dealer in NZ.

2stroked - The curreent set up has changed already. The indicator wiring now leads into the reversing light lenses with orange bulbs. The reversing light circuit now leads to an additional light under the rear bumber. Maybe I should just get some fog lights and put them under the bumper, then I'll get the flood that I need.

Courier used to be a compact pickup in the US. These days the Courier I beleieve is a Euro style cargo van (like the Dodge Sprinter)

The FSeries in AUS and NZ is the same as here. Maybe what they are saying about production is that the trucks are actually made on the line in Kentucky or Louisville or wherever that Super Duty line is.

The NZ Ford Courier is sold over here as the Ford Ranger, only available with a 2.5 turbo diesel. To take the 0 - 60 time, you really need a diary, not a stopwatch. I belive they sell the Ranger in the US, with a similar body, but with a better range of engines.

The NZ F series only come in F250 and F350 models. Do you know if the tailights are similar to an 04 Lariat?
