how to tell if keyless entry is installed

I recently purchased a '99 XLT. The truck has power locks and the factory anty-theft system...is there some way to tell (maybe from the VIN?) whether the truck also came with keyless entry?
Thanks!

I'm 99.9% sure that it was standard equipment on a 99' with power locks.

cycle the ignition 5 or 8 times off then on stopping on on when you hear the door locks cycle. if door locks cycle you can go buy a key fob and program it by cycling the ignition till locks cycle then hit any button on transmitter locks will cycle again then hit the button on any other transmitter you have. then remove key locks will cycle again to exit program mode. then everything should work.

remember when you program key fobs to do all of them at the same time because it will erase the old transmitter codes and save the new ones you use.

when i cycle the ignition, do i actually need to start the truck, or just turn the key to the 'on' position?
Thanks!

okay, maybe I'm an idiot (can't be that bad though, i didn't buy a chevy!) but I tried cycling off to on, and didn't get the locks to cycle. Maybe I don't have the keyless entry, but I want to be sure before I give up and buy an aftermarket system. Is there a certain amount of time I should leave the key in the on/off position before cycling to the next? I waited about two "dings" each time in the on position, and an equal amount of time in the off. Any other tips/tricks for trying this?
Thanks
