Was the tool plugged in and monitoring?
Check for a blown fuse somewhere maybe?

Does it crank, or nothing at all?

The Evolution isn't going to change your PCM's tune by itself. My money is on the anti-theft system, or, does your truck have a fuel pump cutoff that could be activated (as it would be in an accident to prevent fire)? I think either of these systems are discussed in your owners manual along with instructions on how to reset them.

Ok so I ended up taking it to the dealership because I cant have my truck not working and the term the guy told me was the chip was "rolling over" and burning up my PCM and there was barly anything left in the PCM to work with. He said they re programed it with the stock tune and that if I pluged the chip in again it would fry my PCM completly and it would be $1200 to put in a new one. Im not a mechanic so I dont know if this guy is just feeding me lies or what. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this? Keep in mind I did have to sent the edge back to them about a year ago to have it fixed because it had a corrupt file.

yep...its true....the low voltage and you trying to start the truck arced the chip in the cable and fried it and possibly some of the pcm programming....I wouldn't bank on that techs exact words but he's close as far as what happened...

blame those darn edge evolution cables if anything....

pcm replacements are about that price at the dealerships...

So is this just a problem that the edge programers have? It seems like this would be a fairly common issue.

there was a bad batch of cables that were produced for the edge evolutuions for the 97-03 f150's and Ford super duty diesels of that era....

PHP who uses edge products realized this and quit carrying the edge evolution styled gryphon and converting/updating them for those vehicles....way to many headaches and edge ignored PHP's concerns....

this DOESN'T involve the edge CS and CTS or the evolution for the 04-08 f150
