Who is the best SCT custom/email tuner?

I recently picked up an SCT SF3 and now want to decide where to get some custom tunes for it. First, I have an 09 F150 Platinum 5.4L Flex Fuel.

The tunes I am leaning towards are 89 performance and E85 Performance.

The only mod I have done is the Gotts mod, and I dont plan on anything else performance-wise. My main reason for wanting the programmer is to help improve transmission feel. It feels like my truck is a dog when I step on the pedal.

My question for the forum is, who should I go with? I have heard 5 Star and VMP. Are there any others I should be looking at? Prices for emailed tunes seem to be similar. Please give me your biased opinion!
Is there really any other type of opinion?

The *BEST* is Troyer, but he has a long lead time - at least 4 months.

So I looked at the Troyer Performance website. Not the easiest to gather info from. Does anyone know his pricing? It looked like an email custom tune was around $65, but I didnt see any forms or any tune options.

I want a good custom tune but if Troyer is 4 months lead time, who is the next best option?

i have tunes from vmp and from 5 star. 5 star gave me tunes same day, where vmp was 3 -7 business days for me. but when it comes to performance my 5 star tunes cant touch my vmp performance tunes. but my 5 star tunes get 1mpg better than vmp.

I have had Troyer, and I am currently running a 5 star tune. I want to say that the Troyer tunes were more... crisp? Was very impressed with the difference I got with those tunes over the stock one, which is a complete snooze fest, and I can see why everyone says Troyer's are the best. The reason I am currently running the 5 Star, is because I changed to a true duel exhaust system, replacing the 4 cats to 2 high flow cats, and I also replaced the 265/70/17s to 315/70/17 tires, not what the Troyer tunes were written for. Because M.T.'s lead time was so far out, I figured it was time to try one of the other tuners so I called 5 Star, and I can definitely say that I wasn't dissapointed. Very happy with the tune Mike wrote me, and I had it in my e-mail the next day. One of the best things with 5 Star is the customer service, the tune wasn't quite right when I first got it, so Mike worked with me starting the same day to get it right, though it took maybe a day and a half all together. Mike answered both his e-mails and phone almost immediately and I never felt like I was being ignored

I definitely recommend both Troyer and 5 Star, if you want the best then call Troyer, if you want it fast and still get a great tune, then call 5 Star.
