2010 edge - who has one installed

Wanted to see who all has a 2010 screw 5.4 and has an edge evolution? I really wanted to know how it's performing, did it make noticeable difference in the shifting (factory settings suck) and have you seen any MPG increase. Any and all posts are greatly appreciated.

Here's an interesting read, not exactly edge but basically the same thing...

I've got the CTS, and am waiting for my PHP custom 87 performance tune to Gryphonize it. The Evo does not support tranny tuning for this truck yet unless something has changed in the last month. Running canned 87 tow tune, yes I noticed a seat of the pants performance increase.

MPG is going to vary from truck to truck and driver to driver...my miles logged are harder miles in my opinion as I'm climbing hills every direction I go and am using more of my RPM band since installing. I'm up maybe 0.5 MPG, but I only have two tanks since installing and the truck is still breaking in (2800 miles).

I have installed mine and so far I am not very impressed with it.. Prior to purchasing I downloaded the spreadhseet that showed all of the things it could do for my truck and it clearly stated that it had the capabilities of manipulating/changing the transmission shift points/firmness and I can tell everyone, it is pre-programmed from the folks at Edge and you have no access to this so it is false-advertisment..
The dash pod is awesome and this fit is seemless..
I've only had it installed for one day and will have to post again in about a month.

I have been in contact with Edge and have been told that they are in the process of working on the tunes for the transmission. I was told that they were a week away from sending the updated CS/CTS into testing. I personally am waiting to purchase mine untill tthe trans is supported.

I have had my CTS for about 2 months. I have tried the Eco tune and got worse mileage as well as some detonation-pinging. I reported it to Edge and they are "working" on it. I am going to send mine off to get it Gryphon-ized.

I too was getting the detonation/pinging in eco mode as well as tow mode?? I will call Edge on Monday to find out what's going on.. As far as them updating these tunes, I take it these updates will be free? I'm starting to regret my purchase and should have went with Gryphon but I had too many reservations with their customer service and the time it takes to get your cutom tunes back.. Let me know how long it takes once you've sent yours to get it gryphonized..

Towens & TrueBlue;

No need to send it anywhere - yer 'Gryphonized' custom tunes are posted on PHP's server when ready (after you do all the due diligence). There are no 'hands-on' hardware changes on CS/CTS devices.

Check out PHP's upgrade site.

MGD,

Please correct me if I am reading this wrong.. All I have to do is order thier (PHP) custom tunes via the internet and they can transform my Edge into a Gryphon without having to send it to them?

That is correct for the CS/CTS model programmers. Go to PHP's website and find the order form for your model. They'll need your truck's "Calibration", which you can find using the CS/CTS. You'll download the custom tunes using Fusion, a PC application that should have shipped with your Edge.

It's spark knock - you need to either use higher octane fuel or get the tune corrected.
