Unless things have changed...Troyers is longer than that....

That is the lead time they gave me. I guess they were being optimistic. I'm sure their tunes are very good, I just don't want to wait months.

With Troyer, substitute "months" for "weeks" and that will probably be a lot closer to reality. It looks like it's closer to 1 YEAR now. I'm NOT bashing Troyer, I'm just trying to inject a dose of reality. Their "mail order" business model needs some serious rework.

I'm not bashing Troyer either.....
Just putting things into a perspective orientational view....

Out of all 3 SCT distributors/dealers listed in my Sig Justin@VMPtuning is by far the closest to maintaining accurate lead times......

VMP did indeed respond within days of placing my order, and shipped just after 2 weeks, if I recall correctly.

I ordered from Justin yesterday and had a reply email within hours thanking me and saying that he will try to get it out quick for me. Good customer service!

I ordered and Xcal3 from VMP yesterday afternoon. I didn't select the expedite option, so well see how long it takes. Should be a couple of weeks.

When ordering an X3, it asks for your "Computer Code or Strategy." What is this?

Also, I'm a little embarrased to ask, but hey I just got my truck in Dec. I have an 06 FX4 5.4, what gears am I running? 3.73?

There's a sticker on your pcm referred to as a box code....
Or
You can't get the strategy code until you have the programmer in hand to extract it from the pcm....
Once you get that code then you email it to VMPtuning....
