That's the ticket - thanks for checking / confirming that.

It may be time for a call to Edge, sir.

Good luck.

I'd say no you don't have to do a battery disconnect.....
Your pcm is already capable of adaptive learning....
Why force a relearn when you just flashed the thing...

I don't think it did it until I changed tire size which is the only thing I changed. Do I just run lvl 2 and say no to customize to get the tuner lvl 2 back to factory?
Did your tire size originally come on your truck?

If it did then there is no reason to open up custom options and change it.....flash it back to stock... the load the tune again without opening custom options.....drive it for awhile so the programmer can build files then after 100-200 miles of driving, then try to tweek the tire size if you so desire.....

Some trucks get flaky when custom options are used the first time....either driveability issues or better yet dtc codes....

Thanks ill give it a try...it has stock 275/55/20's. I just figured the edge was pre programed with 275/65/18 or something like that.

If you do the math, you'll find those two tire sizes are comparable once squish is accounted for....

talked to edge today, they said let it have a break in period for the unit to learn, which i sort of figured anyway...just didn't know if it's something i needed to worry with since i'm going on a 1000 trip to virginia with boat in tow next week. they said if it last any longer or gets worse to let them know and they will go from there. it's actually already better than it was yesterday.......

update on my foot romping the gas pedal...no matter how much i tell my foot to stop...it just won't listen MPG's...meh, who needs 'em! i'm used to 11 in my old 2006 Toyota...anything better than that is a huge plus.

nope...DMV mod is all i care for. I will be sending it in here in a couple months when i ship off to korea for the gryphon upgrade so that when i'm not towing something i can put it on 87 performance. I often wonder sometimes though if it's good on the PCM to rewrite it so much or whether it shortens the life of the PCM

Does anyone's TC lock in under 40 mph in 4th gear? Also, my intake runs only about 10 degrees warmer than the outside temp....wonder what temp these "cold air" intakes run at?

Regardless of intake though, heat soak will raise iat - extended low-speed/idling in traffic.

it doesn't seem my truck's TC will lock in under 40 in 4th gear so that must be where the slight surge is coming from like the poster above said. i can drive 35 for a while in 4th and it will not lock, however, if i drive 40 it will lock and then go under 40 to 35 it will stay locked. it's nice having the visual indicator of the TC locking on the edge.

Hook up a battery tender. This will ensure adequate electrical supply.

Turn off all extraneous loads.

Grab a frosty ( not hard in this deep-freeze, lol).

Flash away

OR - Reprogram in a heated garage... It may be -5 below outside, but it is 50 in my garage...
