one more question....when you do send an evolution programmer to PHP...does it stay in the grey casing or do they change it to a black one. their website says something about it has to be sent to them to convert it to gryphon and recased.

Just make sure you have a strong battery. It takes about 5 minutes to load a tune.

so i take it you load the tune with the ignition on...truck off? maybe i'll hook the battery charger up to it on 2amp while it does it just in case. for some reason i thought you could change tunes in just a minute or two.

The 5 minutes includes you doing some custom settings. You first have to download your stock tune, then upload the tune you want to use and then change any settings. You also want to program it for the items you want to display.

quick question, lets say i was to send my edge to php for a 87 perf and a 91 perf next week. how long would it take on average and how much would it cost for just the two tunes and be turned into a gryphon?

Call and ask for estimate as far as time it will take...

Got an email from Bill at PHP last night that my 3 custom calibrations were ready for download. Was told I could expect my calibrations in 3-4 weeks, well yesterday was exactly 3 weeks from the day I sent in my HEX code.

Well

i have a HUGE problem...i CANNOT keep from stomping on the gas from a stop sign? BTW, say that i only wanted to change the tire size in my level 2 for 275/55/20. will that change anything at all? is it even worth changing? I'm sure the evolution stock runs 18 inch rims. this is the only thing i might think about changing at the moment. I think the gear ratio is already set to 3.73 stock on the evo.

I'm with you man. I have more problems staying off the gas now with my CS than I did when I installed my Magnaflow. Have actually gotten worse MPG's since installing it.

I also only changed the tire size with my canned tunes. Not sure about the EVO, but with my CS you can enter the size just like you listed (275/55/20). IMO its worth changing, will get your speedo reading correctly.

The size of the wheel is of no consequense, it's the height or diameter of the tire. If the diameter is off by more than 3%, to me it's worth changing. I like to have it spot on with a gps.

my dimension is 2546mm when you do the math....does the edge come pre-programmed to 2550mm? i used the tire size, not the circumference. I might take it to a lift soon anyway to do some underbody maintenance so maybe i'll wait and measure a tire and multiply that by 25.4
