So there will not be a plain Gryphon for the 2009-2010, just the CS and CTS? I don't care about a color display.

Just checkin'.

IMHO, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.

If you're looking for customer support, I recommend you PM and/or e-mail Corey on PHP's forums (rather than post here).

Of course posting on their forums also works.

This is what ive been waiting for. Any chances you have a picture of this installed in a vehicle. Im not really a fan of the suction cup mount and it could be 2 more years until we see the pod. Im just curious as to what it looks like installed in the truck and how you ran the cable. Im just about to pull the trigger on one of these units. Does the 5% Active Duty military discount apply to these?

Used...

If you search on PHP forums (and possibly here) you can find alternatives to the suction cup mount. Some have fabricated a mount in the ashtray of the 04-08 models. I have not yet seen the interior of the 09-10 but this might give you some ideas.

To any one on thee fence about custom tunes. DO IT... it's well worth it, I just got my 87 tune from Bill last week, and I had been running a 93 canned tune since I got my CS in May. Big difference between canned and custom.

You can see how the cable is run if you download the installation manual on this page: http://www.edgeproducts.com/installa...structions.php Scroll down to Ford Gas Products Part # 85250 and click on one of the download links.

As far as I know, they're working on a "pod" for the 09-10 model year trucks. And, they say they'll have it available "soon". Given that this is not a programming problem I expect they'll have it for sale fairly quickly. The suction cup mount is very good, however, and allows you to put the unit next to the A pillar on the left side of the dash.

I posted some pictures of the CTS mounted in my 2005 using the Edge/Gryphon pod in this thread: https://www.f150online.com/forums/ch...002-5-4-a.html As you see, it sits on the front of the pod and not in it like the CS would. I thought I would hate that look, but I've actually gotten very used to it and it doesn't bother me at all. The new pod being designed for the new trucks may look different.
