Pushing 100mph and you're concerned with fuel economy?

Buy a programmer and you can get rid of the factory limitation on the truck's speed. You can also set your max RPM higher so you'd be able to get to the higher speed.

Maybe, try an RPM limit of around 7500-8000 if you want to push your truck up to 120+? Don't worry about "advertising hype" like high speed rated tires either, your truck won't be running at that speed long enough to matter. (It may not be running at any speed if you follow this advice!) But, you won't be spending money on gas when you're having your transmission rebuilt.

as sorta stated above, your TRUCK wasnt meant to do over a 100. a lot of parts in your truck are only meant to be able to withstand up to a certain speed. you need to either start rebuilding your truck to handle like a sports car (basically a lightning) or just go buy a car.

oh ya, a programmer will get rid of the limiter btw

Every car out that has a computer controled system has a limiterthe more speed a car can handle the higher that it will be. Most limiters are not set by the factory but buy the goverment on what is safe for that car.

They are set by the manufacturer based on tires and handling limits and overall safety and reliability. A pickup truck is not designed as a road racer. The Lightning is an exception of course but even it has its limits.
The government does not set speed or rev limiters.

so you're spending more money on fuel to drive as hard and fast as you can, when you could get the same feel in the SOTP guage and get better mileage doing it

and to top it off you're unhappy your TRUCK doesn't go over 100mph?

wait until you get a ticket and your insurance rates go up
