SCT devices or gryphon programmers both with custom tunes.

Hello.

Not gonna happen.

One or the other, not both.

Power = Work / Time (where Work = force X displacement)

Given you cannot increase the volumetric efficiency of the engine with just tuning, any increase in Power comes from an increase in energy input, which can only come from using more fuel.

If you are counting or relying upon consistent mileage gains, from either an intake, exhaust or tuning, you will likely be disappointed. You do those things for looks, sound - and in the case of premium tuning, a bit more performance and a LOT better tranny control, resulting in a more enjoyable vehicle. BUT - it's still a 6,000+ brick with barn-door aeros.

You'll get more consistent results from exemplary maintenance, a light foot, predictive braking, max psi in the tires, and keeping the vehicle lightly loaded.

Tuner recommendations (programmers are the products, tuners ar the folks that create the calibrations): https://www.f150online.com/forums/4137986-post2.html

Couldn't agree more with MGD... do a few power mods and drive with a lightfoot and call it a day.

For example when I bought my truck I was getting 13-14 last year around town. Did some maintenance and it went to 15.

Exhaust, DWV intake and now custom tuning yielded me 18.2 around town with a bit of highway last week. My foot is so steady and I know how to use the power of the truck to coast it a lot, use less up hills, ect. Your foot decides your mpg overall

Cant say that I agree here...

The part of a tune that is tweaked for max power has ZERO affect on your part throttle/cruise part of the tune, thus it is totally possible to have a tune set up for both max power and economy, and your driving style is then the deciding factor.

The tunes in the Predator and Trinity are set up like this right out of the box

My fault - I should have specified - "at the same time", lol.

My perception of the OP's query / expectations was more power AND better econ while making that power.

EDIT - I forgot to add, that perhaps you should also qualify your statement to reflect part-throttle Low-Load conditions. It is common to be in part-throttle High-Load state where power demand is higher that cruise (but less than WOT). A good tune also maximizes torque production under these conditions and will also use more fuel doing so.

Sorry folks - under the weather.

I will just say that I've personally experience a noticeable increase in power and a gain of 3-4 mpg with the edge evo. I did just get it a few days ago but before the edge I was getting maybe 13 city and I know for a fact I was getting 15.3 highway driving from Virginia to Florida and Florida to Virginia numerous times. Now I'm getting almost 17 mpg city. That's just my experience however.
