Depends on who you go with PHP is a popular choice. They charge $25 to change it from an EVO to a Gryphon and the $60 per custom tune (up to 3). IMO if you have an otherwise stock truck theres no reason for custom tunes. JMO

Good evening AZ!

Just fer yer FYI - PHP is the ONLY choice - it is their proprietary product.

Great pricing on the upgrade and the custom tuning. I mean - REALLY great pricing

Cheers, sir!

If any of your are looking for an Edge, I have one for sale. I was going to use PHP to tune the new supercharger but it looks like I am going to be going with a Dyno tune and they are going to need me to run a SCT. I wish I was keeping the edge I have a K&N intake also.

Have you ever had custom tunes? They are a world of improvement over the canned tunes. My truck is stock and that is all I will ever run, after running canned for a year and a half.

You say your truck is stock but you list a flowmaster and K&N on your sig?

Good morning Mr. AZ sir!

Wellsir - the Fartmaster is fer sound only, and the K&N drop-in is fer TCO ( reusable). Neither is a perf mod, and neither requires any tuning correction.

In the parlance, BJ's truck is "ALL Tune"

Good day to y'all!

Cheers!

A K&N drop in is just another type of filter. It does nothing in the way of performance. A replacement muffler is just for sound, it too does nothing for perforance except take away some low end torque. Neither require a tune or are improved with a tune.

Both types of BPU mods lessen the restriction on both sides of the engine. This effectively allows the engine to "breathe" easier, yielding slightly more air into the engine, and doing it more efficiently.

More air + slightly more gas = Bigger Boom in your cylinder.

A custom tune will allow you to tune the AFR to be a little bit leaner. After all - "Leaner is Meaner".

Don't take my word for it though - I'm used to forced induction engines.
